Understanding Lucent Policies
We encourage everyone to review this page before treatment. Your technician will have you sign a waiver before treatment. This is a legal requirement. Lucent White is DEDICATED to the highest standards of safety and satisfaction.

Lucent Whitening – Terms, Policies, and Disclaimers
At Lucent Whitening, our goal is to provide every client with a professional, safe, and enjoyable cosmetic teeth whitening experience through our network of independent certified providers.
To maintain transparency, protect both clients and technicians, and set proper expectations, the following terms and policies apply to all Lucent Whitening services and retail product purchases.
Independent Booking Policy
Lucent Whitening services are performed by independent certified technicians who operate under Lucent’s training, product standards, and brand guidelines.
Each provider manages their own appointments, pricing, and payment policies.
Clients book directly with their chosen Lucent-certified provider via that provider’s preferred booking system (e.g., Vagaro, Square, or similar).
Lucent Whitening does not process payments or scheduling directly, and each provider may have individual policies regarding deposits, rescheduling, cancellations, and late arrivals.
We encourage every client to review their provider’s booking and cancellation policy before confirming a session.
Refund & Return Policy
Services
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic service, and results naturally vary from client to client.
Because enamel composition, stain type, and lifestyle habits affect results, all service sales are final once performed.
Lucent Whitening does not issue refunds for completed treatments, as all payments are made directly to independent providers.
Any service-related billing inquiries must be directed to the individual provider.
Retail Products
For hygiene and safety reasons, all Lucent Whitening retail products are final sale.
Because these items are cosmetic and intended for personal oral use, returns or exchanges cannot be accepted once they have left our possession — regardless of whether they appear unopened or unused.
If a product arrives damaged or defective due to shipping, please contact Lucent within 7 days of purchase for review and possible replacement at Lucent’s discretion.
Waiver & Informed Consent
Before receiving treatment, every client must complete and sign the Lucent Teeth Whitening Waiver & Informed Consent Form.
This confirms that the client understands the cosmetic nature of the procedure, acknowledges potential side effects (such as temporary sensitivity or irritation), and consents to proceed at their own risk.
Treatment Strength & Safety
Lucent Whitening treatments use cosmetic-grade whitening gels formulated for in-studio use by Lucent-certified providers.
Our dual-barrel system blends an active whitening agent with a balancing gel designed to enhance brightness while helping protect enamel and gums.
All Lucent technicians are trained in proper barrier application, timing, and safety protocols to ensure a comfortable experience and effective results.
Some clients may still experience temporary tooth or gum sensitivity, which typically fades within 24 hours.
By receiving treatment, you acknowledge that your provider has explained the cosmetic nature of the process and that you consent to proceed under their care.
Results Disclaimer
Lucent Whitening strives for noticeable results while maintaining the highest cosmetic safety standards; however, whitening outcomes vary based on individual factors including:
-
Natural tooth color and enamel thickness
-
Type and degree of staining (extrinsic vs. intrinsic)
-
Age, diet, and overall oral hygiene
-
Lifestyle habits such as smoking, coffee, tea, or wine consumption
A typical client may see results between 2–8 shades lighter after one session, though no specific shade or duration of results can be guaranteed.
Post-Treatment Expectations
Some clients may experience temporary tooth sensitivity or minor gum irritation following treatment. These effects are generally mild and resolve within 24 hours.
Lucent-certified technicians may provide Lucent Shield™ remineralizing gel to ease discomfort, strengthen enamel, and help maintain whitening results.
Clients should follow all aftercare instructions provided by their technician, including avoiding staining foods or beverages (coffee, tea, red wine, dark sauces, smoking, etc.) for 24–48 hours to allow enamel pores to fully reseal.
Liability & Consent
By booking and receiving a Lucent Whitening treatment, you confirm and agree that:
-
You are not pregnant or nursing.
-
You have no untreated dental conditions such as cavities, gum disease, or oral infections.
-
You have disclosed any existing dental work (veneers, caps, crowns, bridges, bonding, etc.) and understand that these will not whiten like natural enamel.
-
You have read and signed the Lucent Teeth Whitening Waiver & Consent Form acknowledging the cosmetic nature of the service and the associated risks.
-
You understand that results vary and that no specific shade improvement or duration can be guaranteed.
Independent Providers & Limitation of Liability
Lucent Whitening LLC serves as the brand and training provider for independent cosmetic whitening technicians.
Each technician operates as an independent service provider, not as a dental professional or employee of Lucent Whitening LLC.
By booking a service, you agree that Lucent Whitening LLC, its owners, and affiliates are not responsible for acts, errors, or omissions committed by any independent technician outside the scope of Lucent’s published training, product use, and safety protocols.
Lucent’s responsibility is limited to maintaining safe, compliant products and providing training that reflects current cosmetic service best practices.
Important Disclaimer
Lucent Whitening and its technicians are not dental professionals and do not diagnose, treat, or cure dental or medical conditions.
All Lucent Whitening services are cosmetic in nature and not a substitute for professional dental care.
Clients are encouraged to maintain regular visits with a licensed dentist for cleanings, check-ups, and oral health management.
Agreement to Terms
By booking an appointment, receiving a treatment, or purchasing Lucent Whitening products, you agree to all terms and policies stated above.
Your appointment confirmation, signed waiver, and/or product purchase serve as acknowledgment that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
Lucent Whitening reserves the right to update or revise policies at any time to reflect best practices, compliance updates, or improved client experiences.
Revised policies will always be published on our website and apply to all future bookings and purchases.
